This program is an event aimed at corporations and teams to encourage team building. This is an all day pottery class (10am – 4pm time allowed for lunch). The participants are given the chance to experience various forms of pottery including pinch pots, coiling and slab work. Working closely with each individual they complete a project using a learned skill that utilizes each person’s creativity and expression.

A Team Building session is also available for up to four people throwing on the potters wheel.

  • Stress Management
  • Learn new things about team members and be surprised by what they can do
  • Do something you didn't know you could do
  • Stimulate Creativity
  • Enhance Connections and improve interaction within the group
  • All finished work is taken home

The Workshop

There will be a short tutorial about working with clay. I will give a demonstration of the main pottery techniques of pinching, coiling and slabwork and each individual with my guidance will decide what they wish to make using these techniques. I will give one to one guidance to the finished piece of artwork. Through the creation of their work they can learn so much about themselves and each other.

The wheel based team building session will have a demonstration of using the potters wheel.

Finished Artwork

I will also explain the process of drying, bisque firing and glazing of the finished artwork. Each individual will be able to decorate their piece using various glazes ready for the item to be fired in the kiln. The finished glazed artwork will be ready for pickup approximately 2-3 weeks later.
